Britney Performs At Good Morning America
December 4, 2008
Me and my mother watched Britney Spears “Live” performance over at Good Morning America yesterday. Two things were celebrated, her 27th birthday and the release of her uber publicized Circus album. She performed Circus and Womanizer. As for the question whether she performed it well…
Nanay Oreng: She lipsynched and her moves weren’t that powerful. Beyonce’s still my girl.
I guess my mother’s right, but, what the fuck is happening to Britney’s body? She looks so smoldering hot! Well aside from that, I can’t see anything fabulous with Britney’s first TV performance after the MTV Music Awards mess last year. At any rate, welcome back Britney and here’s to better dance routines and adjusting headset mics that y’all know is turned off. Hihi!

Pack Yer Bags Were Going To Zimbabwe!
I was contemplating over my existance, more specifically zeroing in on my finances yesterday. I dunno but the crafty devil by my shoulder led me to a foreign exchange website. I placed 1 right next to “Philippine Peso (PHP)” over at www.coinmill.com.
I scanned through the different conversions of my beloved Philippine Peso to other currencies and I just needed to shout Holy Sweet Baby Jaysus when my eyes landed on Zimbabwe Dollar. My motherfucking Peso is worth 1919.72 Zimbabwe stone money. I could buy an elephant there!
My mind drifted of to plans of a Zimbabwe safari. There has to be a catch to this poor filipino guys dream destination, right?
I researched and found that as far back as the time that Oprah hasn’t discovered Spanx yet, Zimbabwe has been a hot bed for travel bans everywhere.
And if that wasn’t enough just today, them Zimbabs made it to the news. They are down with cholera. Tsk Tsk. That’s what I call poor! UN reports that 360 people have died from this outbreak since August. I think I better start a fund raiser here in the office. If my math is as good as I believe it is we could come up with ALOT of Zimbabwe Dollars. On a serious note, they need our help.
Regine Velasquez Hits "LOW KEY"
Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez is singing a different set of notes in her 15th studio album. All 18 tracks of Low Key will surprise everybody. Regine who has a notorious reputation for belting out insanely high notes in both live performances and recording, lives up to the title of her latest album. It drew mixed reviews, ranging from excitement to doubts if the songbird’s shift is good for her. I’ve been following her career for like forever now and I must say that the song selection and delivery baffled me at first. However in retrospection, Regine is Regine. She’s been in this business for 20 something years. She belted ballads that even the most esteemed Hollywood divas can only wish to sing. I believe there’s no affirmation to be done and her new style of singing should be a welcomed reinvention or as what my friend said a breath of fresh air for Regine fans. This is a huge blow to bashers who have incessantly complained about Regine’s “screaming” style of singing.
The melodious and soothing rendition of standard and classic radio friendly songs dating back from the Beatles to the early 80’s and 90s will get you hooked and singing along track after track. My favorite in the record is “Never Be The Same”, a Christopher Cross original; while my sister’s current LSS is “I Never Dreamed Someone Like You Could Love Someone Like Me”.
This is her first album with Universal Records and is set to be released all throughout Asia. The album includes an instrumental cd for you to sing along with. 4 limited edition posters are up for grabs if you buy it in selected Odyssey and Astrovision record bars. The album reached GOLD status less than a week from day of release.
Here’s the complete Tracklisting:
